Where exactly are you, and how far is the beach?
We're at Avenida Guayadeque 8, in the Agua La Perra Valley just above Puerto Rico de Gran Canaria. The marina is about a 10-minute walk downhill and Playa de Puerto Rico is 10–15 minutes on foot. Playa de Amadores is 5 minutes by car, or a lovely 30-minute walk along the cliff-top coastal path.
How do I check in and get my keys?
Reception is open Monday to Saturday, 8:00–16:00, and our host Masi will hand over your keys. Arriving outside those hours? Just let us know your arrival time in advance and you can check yourself in using our key box. We'll send full arrival instructions before your stay.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is by 12:00 noon. Late check-out is available on request, subject to availability. If you check out early, you're welcome to leave your bags at reception until 16:00.
Is there parking?
Yes. Parking is on the street outside the property.
Do the apartments have air conditioning and a terrace?
Every apartment has air conditioning throughout and a private terrace with outdoor seating. Depending on the apartment, you'll look out over the Atlantic, the heated pool or the gardens.
Is Wi-Fi included? Can I work remotely?
Yes. Fast Wi-Fi is included, every apartment has a dining table that works as a desk, and the 55" Smart TV doubles as a second screen. The island runs on GMT, the same as the UK and one hour behind Central Europe. A lunchtime dip in the heated pool is optional, but recommended.
Why do you need my passport or ID before arrival?
Spanish law (Royal Decree 933/2021) requires all accommodation providers to register guests' identity details. Sending them in advance means less paperwork and a quicker check-in. Your details are handled securely and used only for this legal registration.
Is The Hive adults only?
Yes. The Hive is an adults-only property, designed for a calm and relaxing stay.
What is your cancellation policy?
A 50% deposit is due at booking. It's fully refundable if you cancel up to 14 days before check-in. For later cancellations, the deposit is kept.
